A Tribute to Vin Scully
On Thursday, Angels Baseball honored Vin Scully in an intimate ceremony before his final game at Angel Stadium.
During the ceremony, the Angels also presented Vin with these thoughtful gifts:
Framed lineup/box score card from the 1989 All-Star Game Vin called in Anaheim, a photo of Vin interviewing Ronald Reagan and a baseball signed by Bo Jackson (who homered during the interview with Reagan).
Replica microphone engraved with the date of Scully’s first broadcast, a college football game at Fenway Park.
Souvenir silver dish from the Pennsylvania Hotel where Scully once worked.
Gear from his alma mater of Fordham Prep.

Happy Birthday to Tim Mead, Angels VP of Communications
We want to wish Mr. Tim Mead, Angels Baseball Vice President of Communications, a very happy birthday. Here is a selection of photographs from the Angels Photo Archive of Mr. Mead’s thirty five seasons with the club. Mead started as an intern in the public relations department in 1980, was appointed Director of Media Relations in 1985, and later Assistant Vice President of Media Relations, and spent four seasons as Assistant General Manager (1994-97) under former GM Bill Bavasi before his current appointment. Happy Birthday sir!
