2016 Fan Favorites Awards: Round 1
Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls! We are excited to announce that the first round of polls have opened for the Angels Fan Favorites Awards!
These fan choice awards will highlight superlatives of the Angels’ 2016 season through categories like Best Catch, Most Exciting Walk-off, Best Walk-up Song, etc. We will be releasing a new batch of categories on the following dates:
- Tuesday, October 11th
- Wednesday, October 12th
- Thursday, October 13th
All polls will close on Friday, October 14th and the results will be posted right here on The Halo Way.
As you will notice, we tried our best to limit the categories to a small number of choices for easy voting. Stir up the hype of the awards by posting in the comments section below and keep up the conversation on social media by using #AngelsFanFaves.

Let’s kick things off by deciding which Themed Event at Angel Stadium was the most entertaining this season.
The “Best Defensive Player” category is BACK in the poll lineup this year! Unlike the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award (determined by formulas that combine traditional defensive stats and advanced metrics) and the Rawlings Gold Glove Award (voted on by Major League managers and coaches), the Angels Fan Favorites Award for “Best Defensive Player” will be determined by YOUR knowledge and opinions. Which Halo didn’t go unnoticed for his stellar defense this season?

We’ve seen what the guys can do on the field, from walk-off wins, great defensive plays, to outstanding pitching performances. However, what some of the players do off the field is equally as admirable and special. It is now your opportunity to vote on which Angel has the “Biggest Heart”.

The Angels’ 2016 season has come to an end, but Awards season is in full swing!
While we continue to dream of October Baseball’s exhilarating action and champagne showers, let’s come down from the clouds to celebrate the clutch performances, the player milestones and the feel-good moments that your Angels experienced. For the third consecutive year, it’s time to announce our Angels end-of-the-season awards.
The Angels Fan Favorites Awards highlight the finest achievements and whims that contributed to another fun-filled season for your 2016 Halos. Be prepared to tackle decisions on the Best Catch and Most Exciting Walk-Off. Some eccentric categories like Best Walk-up Song and Most Likely to Win Dancing With the Stars will also be up for discussion!
There will be 4 rounds of polls. The first round of categories will be released Monday, October 10th. Check back with us HERE on The Halo Way then to begin voting.
