Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls! We are excited to announce that the first round of polls have opened for the Angels Fan Favorites Awards!

These fan choice awards will highlight superlatives of the Angels’ 2016 season through categories like Best Catch, Most Exciting Walk-off, Best Walk-up Song, etc. We will be releasing a new batch of categories on the following dates:

• Tuesday, October 11th
• Wednesday, October 12th
• Thursday, October 13th

All polls will close on Friday, October 14th and the results will be posted right here on The Halo Way.

As you will notice, we tried our best to limit the categories to a small number of choices for easy voting. Stir up the hype of the awards by posting in the comments section below and keep up the conversation on social media by using #AngelsFanFaves.

The “Best Defensive Player” category is BACK in the poll lineup this year! Unlike the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award (determined by formulas that combine traditional defensive stats and advanced metrics) and the Rawlings Gold Glove Award (voted on by Major League managers and coaches), the Angels Fan Favorites Award for “Best Defensive Player” will be determined by YOUR knowledge and opinions.
